Football and Education opportunities for young players
The Northampton Town FC Football & Education Programme is now recruiting for next year.
The 2 or 3 year post-16 programme is aimed at talented local footballers who want the chance to combine their continued education with the chance to train full time and play as part of the U18 Shadow Squad.
Any players who excel to a high level have opportunities to train with the Youth Team and players that excel to an exceptional level may have opportunities to earn a full scholarship with the Youth Team, following in the footsteps of Lewis Irwin (pictured and featured in the YouTube video) who recently signed for the Youth Team after excelling on the programme.
Other pathways lead onto higher education or progression into the sports industry as well as helping you to improve your footballing ability to play to the highest level you can.
We will be holding our first open evening on at 6pm on Thursday 24th November 2016 at Cobblers Study Centre (located next to Sixfields Stadium). We will also be holding further open evenings over the next few months and trials days will take place during 2017.
