CHAIRMAN - 'LOOKING FOR NEW MANAGER TO IMPROVE US RATHER THAN RIP EVERYTHING UP'

16 May 2016

Kelvin Thomas expecting evolution rather than revolution

Chairman Kelvin Thomas says it will be a case of evolution rather than revolution when the new Northampton Town manager is appointed.

“We’ve got a squad here that has just got promoted and won the league with 99 points and with almost a month to spare," he said.

“This isn’t a squad that needs that much work but of course we will look to improve upon what we have already got and we would have done that anyway with Chris here.

“We will look to improve certain positions and as we know players come and go.

“We will only be looking to tweak here and there and trying to get success that way.

“We’re not looking for someone to come in and rip everything up and start again, we’ve got a good structure here and we’re not believers in ripping things up that are working."
