Cobblers striker ahead of schedule in recovery
Cobblers boss Chris Wilder says that Marc Richards is making excellent progress on his recovery from an Achilles injury.
“Marc is making fantastic progress,” he said.
“If it was up to Marc he’d be travelling on the bus up to Carlisle but we have to pull him back a little bit and we have to be careful with him.
“He will possibly be back on the training pitch in ten days time with a view to maybe the Stevenage game.
“John Marquis has done well and he gave us a little bit of a spark in the second half on Tuesday night.
“He’s not played much football which is why we made the decision not to start him against Wimbledon but we’ve been delighted with him.”
