LATE DECISION TO BE MADE ON ROD McDONALD AHEAD OF CARLISLE UNITED TRIP

4 March 2016

Team news ahead of Carlisle United v Northampton Town

A decision will be made on Friday morning whether or not defender Rod McDonald travels with the squad to Carlisle.

“Rod has been ill for the last few days and the way we play we have to make sure that he is right and ready to go,” said boss Chris Wilder.

“He did some light work on Thursday but he’s been in bed for three or four days so he’s really not been very well.

“Luke Prosser has done well so if Rod is fit and healthy we will have a decision to make.

“Alfie Potter is back in training which is good news for everybody and we’ve not got any bangs or bruises.

“The players' energy levels have been fantastic and I think we’ve managed this period in great fashion.

“We’ve chopped and changed the team around a little bit to keep people nice and fresh and we will go again on Saturday.

“We work hard in our preparation to give the players the best possible opportunity to produce front foot energetic performances and we are definitely getting them.”
