The Cobblers boss on Stevenage v Northampton Town
Cobblers boss Chris Wilder says his side will be as ready and as well prepared as they can be for Saturday’s trip to Stevenage.
“It will be another real competitive game and we will face the challenge head on,” he said.
“We understand the challenge we will face so whatever is thrown at us won’t come as a shock and the players will deal with it on Saturday and in the next ten games.
“I saw Stevenage three or four weeks ago and they seemed to be more like the Stevenage of old, tough, competitive and hard to play against.
“They have got a young manager who wants to do well and they turned over Cambridge pretty comfortably three or four weeks ago.
“I’m sure they will come at us because that is the old Stevenage, fearless, adventurous and not that bothered about who they play.
“It will be a tough, physical battle but our away form this season has been magnificent.
“It’s a local game and I’m sure we will take our full allocation.
“We are having a fantastic season, there are only five games left away from home and I’m sure we will be close to selling out in every one.
“A lot has been achieved so far, we are coming into the back end of it now and I’m sure the people who have been on the journey right the way through will want to be on it when it ends, hopefully the way we want it to."
