Cobblers boss also praises squad after hectic period of games
Chris Wilder has praised the way his squad dealt with a hectic run of seven games in 22 days, and has expressed his delight at the support the players had during that period.
Northampton Town recorded five wins and two draws in those seven games, and after their first clear midweek for a month, the Cobblers boss has said getting through such a busy run of games was down to preparation and support.
“We gave the players Monday off this week because it was important that they had a little bit of time to recharge," he said.
"It has been a hectic few weeks but on and off the pitch we’ve achieved great results.
“That’s been down to our preparation, the professionalism of the players and the fantastic support we’ve received from the fans.
"We’ve travelled in great numbers and it’s no surprise to me that we’ve packed out every game here. It’s a special season and people want to see us play and be apart of it.”
