Northampton Town have enjoyed a fantastic first day of 2016/17 season ticket sales, with more than 150 sold in less than a day, many of them to first time season ticket holders. This is the busiest opening day of season ticket sales in the club's history.

On Wednesday morning, the Cobblers announced details of 2016/17 season ticket packages, with prices frozen, whatever division the club are playing in, if season tickets are purchased on or before 31 May 2016.

This means season ticket holders who purchase before the end of May will pay the same price they were paying for League 2 football five years ago. The club pledge not to increase the prices stated if we are promoted to League 1.

An adult season ticket is available in the North Stand for just under £11 per game ahead of the May 31 discount deadline, while season ticket holders will again have priority over non season ticket holders for cup and away matches.

The discount period has been pushed back to the end of May while supporters can once again pay for their season ticket in instalments via Zebra Finance.

2016/17 season ticket holders purchasing before May 31 will make even more of a saving than in previous years, with season tickets purchased after May 31 subject to a small increase on 2015/16 levels.

Full details of season tickets can be downloaded above. Sales continue online via www.ntfcdirect.co.uk while Sixfields is open from 10am-7pm on Thursday.
