PAGE DELIGHTED TO RECRUIT KENNY'S EXPERIENCE TO COACHING STAFF

Manager pleased to have goalkeeping coach on board

Rob Page was delighted to welcome Paddy Kenny as the club's new goalkeeping coach, and says the keepers will benefit from his knowledge.

"Paddy as a wealth of experience and a fantastic playing record," he said.

"I had three great years with him myself, he has also done some coaching so to have the opportunity to bring him in is fantastic for the club and the keepers will benefit from working with him.

"He will be registered with a player, with short term loans banned now he will give us that strength in depth in the keeping position and he can do a job for us if needed.

"The lack of the short term loan option does make things trickier for clubs but we are planning for that and making sure we recruit well to cover all positions. Once our core group is in place we will go with it.

"We are working hard to add quality but we don't want to rush into things. We need to add quality and not just sign people in for the sake of it. We want the right sort of characters in here and if that takes time, so be it.

"If it's not broke then don't fix it is my view, what this squad did last season was terrific and if we can make some additions to improve the group even further that will be the right way to go."
