Manager happy with performance after opening game
Manager Rob Page was delighted with how is players kicked off their pre-season campaign in Saturday's 3-0 win at Sileby Rangers.
A first-half goal from Alex Revell was added to by John-Joe O'Toole and David Buchanan in the second half as the Cobblers put in a dominant display.
“It was a fantastic start for the lads,” he said.
“We played two different formations and two different teams just to start building up the players' minutes gradually and their attitude was spot on.
''Sileby have got a fantastic set up, the pitch was immaculate and it’s always good to give something back to the local community as well.
“All in all it was a very productive day, it’s always nice to get a win and a clean sheet and it was a good start to pre-season.”
