Cobblers boss reflecting on Tuesday night

Cobblers boss Rob Page felt Wolves provided a different but worth while test for his side on Tuesday night.

“It was another very productive exercise for us,” he said.

“Wolves put out a young side but I’d spoken to Kenny Jackett before hand and I always knew that was going to be the case.

“It was a different type of test but irrespective of who we are playing it’s about what we do.

“We spoke at half-time and we had to change our style a little bit in the second half but in the end I thought we thoroughly deserved the victory.

“Aspects of our play pleased me but there are other aspects that we need to work on.

“I thought Harry Beautyman was the most enthusiastic player on the pitch and that rubs off on the other players. He deserved his goal and there is no doubt his energy will have a positive impact on the rest of the group.”
