Cobblers boss on players fitness
Cobblers boss Rob Page is pleased with the players fitness levels going into the final pre-season game at Eastleigh on Saturday.
“I wanted the intensity from day one to be high,” he said.
“We had to taper things a little bit purely because of the injuries we’ve had but I’m still really pleased with where we are fitness wise.
“The players have worked hard and they have given me absolutely everything every single day.
“We’ve made it quite clear we want to bring more bodies in and we will do so.
“I sound like a stuck record but they have to be the right players.
“I want us to go to the next level and be able to compete in League 1 and to do that we have to bring in the right personnel to supplement the quality we have already got.”
