CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH AHEAD OF PRE-SEASON TRIP TO SILEBY RANGERS

8 July 2016

Rob Page set to give run out to entire squad

Paul Wilkinson has confirmed that the Cobblers have a clean bill of health ahead of Saturday’s opening pre-season game at Sileby Rangers.

The players have had a full week of training and the squad have remained unscathed with each player hoping to be given some playing minutes.

He said: ‘’You’re always going to get some niggles and bumps but so far there are no injuries and everyone’s all good."

Striker Marc Richards and defenders Rod McDonald and Brendan Moloney missed the closing games of last season however Wilkinson says all three have looked strong in training.

‘’We need to monitor the players at times and just keep an eye on them but at the moment everybody has taken part in each session.

‘’We’re looking forward to giving the lads some minutes and getting them back on the pitch and getting back into the swing of things.

‘’We’re delighted with the squad that we’ve got. Obviously we are looking to strengthen further but at the moment we’re happy with everything.’’
