CHAIRMAN REACTS TO SUCCESSFUL FAMILY FUN DAY

25 July 2016

Large crowds turn out for day of fun and games

Northampton Town Football Club staged a successful Family Fun Day at Sixfields on Saturday where the 2016/17 Nike home kit was revealed for the very first time. The new home kit can be pre-ordered now from the club shop or via the online store here.

As the first look at the new home kit, supporters also enjoyed an open training session as manager Rob Page and his staff put the first team squad through their paces.

Supporters were then invited to participate in a penalty shoot out on the pitch against the first team squad, while all Gullivers Junior Cobblers members were welcomed on to the pitch to play in a special match against the first team!

The League 2 trophy was on show for supporters to have their picture taken, while the players also met supporters and were available for photos and autographs.

There were also plenty of stalls and fun activities for all the family taking place through the day!

Chairman Kelvin Thomas said: ''I thought the Open Day was fantastic and it was great to see so many supporters come to Sixfields and take part in all the events and activities.

''It was a great chance for them to be with the players and watch a training session, as well as get some autographs and have pictures taken with the trophy.

''There was a great atmosphere around the place and the feedback has been positive so we're delighted with how it went.

''It was also nice for all of our partners to be out there with the fans so overall it was a really positive day for the community.  It shows what this club is about and it continues the good work we are doing.’'

Thank you to everyone who came along, we hope you had a great time!
