Lawson D’Ath is set to miss the weekend trip to Dagenham after picking up a groin injury in Tuesday night’s win at Plymouth.
“Lawson has a groin strain and I’m sure he will miss Saturday,” said boss Chris Wilder.
“It’s disappointing because Lawson has been a key player for us this season and last season but we will deal with it. Nicky Adams did well when he came on and Alfie Potter could come back in.
“Alfie didn’t feel right to travel to Plymouth and we didn’t want to take any risks with him. We will see how he comes through training and make a late decision.
“I was delighted with the players' fitness levels going into the game on Tuesday and we will need that again against Dagenham.
“We are looking a bit light on numbers at the moment but I’m sure we will back that up in the next couple of weeks, but only by bringing in players who are right for us.”
