Chris Wilder ahead of MK Dons v Northampton Town
Cobblers boss Chris Wilder says his side will benefit from a huge away following in Tuesday night’s FA Cup third round replay at MK Dons.
“To sell 7,000 tickets for a cup match is an unbelievable outstanding effort,” he said.
“It’s going to be a great occasion and a good night for our supporters. We know it will be a good game of football and it’s a good opportunity for our players.
“They had a great result on Saturday and whatever players they play we know that it is going to be a tough challenge for us to overcome.
“7,000 travelling supporters is going to give us a huge boost and we just want to repay them for their loyalty and the belief that they have in this team.
“There is no pressure on us and I want the players and the fans to enjoy it.
“There are not many clubs that have repeated success and for teams at our level good seasons don’t come along that often.
“This is a good time to be involved at this football club, the players are enjoying what they are doing, I’m certainly enjoying being part of it and most importantly the supporters are coming out in big numbers to back us.”
