COBBLERS BOSS RELISHING TUESDAY NIGHT'S VISIT TO LEAGUE LEADERS

12 January 2016

The Cobblers boss ahead of Plymouth Argyle v Northampton Town

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder was full of respect for the opposition as he looked ahead to Tuesday night’s top of the table clash against Plymouth Argyle at Home Park.

“It’s a massive game and a big, big test for us,” he said.

“Going to the league leaders is obviously a big challenge for us but these are the games you want to be involved in.

“We are in better shape now than we were for the game here back in August and I think we have grown as a team since then. Players are showing consistency individually and as a group we are playing well.

“We have made huge strides forward and although we were a bit disappointed after the game on Saturday the players have got nothing to be down about because the performance was excellent.

“Everybody is bang in form, we are playing really well and we’ve got lots of good games coming up.

“This division is an outstanding division this year, it is a really tough competition and there are a llot of quality teams giving it a real go.

“I’ve been in this league for a few years and in my opinion this is definitely the toughest it has been and the quality and standard of football is better than it has been for a number of years.”
