Winger to spend the rest of the season with the Bees
Northampton Town winger Chris Hackett has joined Barnet on loan for the rest of the season.
The long serving Hackett arrived at Sixfields in the summer of 2012, and has made more than 130 appearances for the Cobblers, scoring 12 times.
His chances have become more limited this season with the form of others keeping him out of the side, and he will now spend the rest of 2015/16 at the Hive.
“Chris has been a great professional and a great lad to have around the place,” said boss Chris Wilder.
“It’s never been a personal decision with Chris, it’s always been a football decision and because of the way we’ve played since last January he’s struggled to get into the side.
“His attitude has been terrific and I’ve never been afraid to use him when we’ve needed to.
“I was a little bit surprised that no one came in for him in the summer but at his age he needs to go and play football and we can’t guarantee that here.
“He’s a great guy and we wish him all the best.”
