SUPPORT WILL BE NEEDED IN WEEKS AHEAD SAYS CHRIS WILDER

Cobblers boss - 'There will be bumps along the way and there will be days when we really need the supporters to lift the team'

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder says the Northampton Town supporters play a huge role for his team, and they will need that backing in the weeks ahead.

“The supporters, all season and right the way through my time here, have been terrific and I’d like to think we will travel in numbers again on Saturday,” he said.

“We will always appreciate the support we get whether we are nearby at Milton Keynes or at Carlisle or Hartlepool.

“They have seen the turnaround but we can’t become complacent.

“It’s taken a lot of hard work to get ourselves in to this position and it will take a even more hard work to carry this on.

“There will be bumps along the way and there will be days when we really need the supporters to lift the team.

“Nothing is a given and we can’t take anything for granted.

“We’ve got good times ahead of us, there is a real buzz about the place at the moment that the players and supporters have created together and we need to make sure that continues.”
