Chairman keen for maximum focus ahead of final 19 games
As Northampton Town kick off the final 19 games of the season against York City at Sixfields on Saturday, Chairman Kelvin Thomas has stressed that the results of other teams at the top of the table are not top of his priority list.
“It’s about us now," he said. he said in an interview now playing on Cobblers PlayerHD.
“That’s our mantra, you are always going to look at the results of other teams but we know that it doesn’t really matter because it’s about us and what we do in the next 19 games.
“You can’t control what other teams do and I’ve always been told that when you can’t control something you just have to let it go.
“We can only control what we do and right now it’s all about York on Saturday.
“With 19 games to go we’ve put ourselves in a fantastic position and I know it’s a cliché but we just have to take one game at a time and to try and keep picking up points."
