COBBLERS WAITING ON JOEL BYROM'S FITNESS AHEAD OF OXFORD UNITED TRIP

16 February 2016

The Cobblers team news ahead of Oxford United v Northampton Town

Joel Byrom could return to the Cobblers squad for Tuesday night’s trip to Oxford, having missed the game at Leyton Orient with a neck injury he picked up in the warm-up.

“We are not sure if Joel will be fit yet but we will give him as much time as possible,” said assistant boss Alan Knill.

“He’s had some acupuncture on his shoulder and although he didn’t train on Monday he has said that he is feeling a lot better.

“Danny Rose was excellent on Saturday but that came as no surprise to us.

“When we signed Danny we knew that he would be fine for us and with the way we play and when Joel went down in the warm-up Chris had no problem throwing Danny in.

“Everybody else is fine from the weekend and Alfie Potter has started to do a little bit more now which is good.”
