Cobblers boss - 'The dressing room polices itself'

Boss Chris Wilder has praised the mentality and attitude of the squad.

“I think sometimes as a manager you end up saying things for your own good and at the moment I don’t really need to say anything because the players get it,” he said.

“The players are policing the dressing room, they are stepping up to the plate and they are relishing the next opposition and the next challenge.

“We’ve had to put a lot of work into the players to get them into this position but it’s the players who are making it happen.

“I genuinely believe that they are really enjoying their football and I’m not seeing any signs of nerves or pressure.

“They don’t look like they want to get beat and that is a fantastic attribute to have.

“The attitude of the group has been absolutely phenomenal as it has to be if we are going to achieve.”
