The Cobblers assistant boss on Oxford United 0 Northampton Town 1
Assistant manager Alan Knill was delighted as he reflected on Tuesday night’s 1-0 win at Oxford, the Cobblers 8th successive league victory.
“I thought it was a great game to watch and it’s obviously a great result for us,” he said.
“We came with a plan which we executed really well, we played with energy and we really pressed Oxford.
“It was a high energy game but we defended well when we needed to and our fans were terrific.
“Marc Richards came off as a precaution, we’ve got a lot of games coming up and fortunately we have got a really strong bench.”
