Rob Page reflects on Stourbridge 1 Northampton Town O
Cobblers boss Rob Page apologised and said he felt embarrassed by Tuesday night’s Emirates FA Cup second round defeat at Stourbridge.
“The better team won tonight and it hurts me to say that,” he said.
“I’m bitterly disappointed and it’s a hard one to take but Stourbridge thoroughly deserved to win the game tonight.
“I feel embarrassed and we deserve every bit of criticism we get from tonight.
“Credit to Stourbridge but we were well below par, it was the same eleven as Saturday but half a dozen of my players weren’t up to scratch tonight.
“I apologise to the fans and I’ll take the responsibility for tonight but we’ve got to move on and move on quickly.”
