ROB PAGE - 'ONE HUNDRED PER CENT WE WILL GIVE STOURBRIDGE THE RESPECT THEY DESERVE'

Cobblers boss previews Sunday's Emirates FA Cup tie

Cobblers boss Rob Page knows how tough Sunday’s Emirates FA Cup second round tie at Stourbridge will be.

“I watched them in their first round replay against Whitehawk and I know we will have to be at our best,” he said.

“The biggest message is that we can’t underestimate the opposition and we will be approaching the game in exactly the same way as we did Bolton last week.

“Mentally we need to be switched on and ready for a battle, there are always upsets in this competition and like I said in the previous round we need to make sure that it’s not us on Sunday.

“We want to be in the next round and however we get there we just need to make sure that we do.

“One hundred per cent we will show Stourbridge the respect that they deserve but we have got to give a professional performance and it’s about recreating the same levels that we did against Bolton. There will be no complacency from us and we can’t just turn up expecting to win the game.

“It was great to see the fans appreciate the players' effort last Saturday, we have had a difficult few weeks and things aren’t quite going our way at the minute but they will turn.

“There is a little bit of extra pressure on us because we are expected to win on Sunday but we will prepare professionally and we will go there ready for action.”
