Rob Page previews Northampton Town v Fleetwood Town
Cobblers boss Rob Page is expecting a tough opening game against Fleetwood on Saturday.
“We know we are going to be in for a tough game,” he said.
“They are a good footballing team and having watched their game against Wigan last week you can see they have got pace and energy.
“It’s a great test but it’s also a great opportunity for our lads to go and put their stamp on it in the first game of the season.
“The players are really looking forward to it and you have been able to really sense that in training this week.
“We want to establish ourselves in League 1 but we don’t just want to do that we want to push on as well.
“To do that we have got to be patient and there will be some highs and lows this season. The hardest thing will probably be managing the fans expectation but we have got some great characters and some great professionals and the club is on the up.”
