Rob Page previews Northampton Town v AFC Wimbledon

Cobblers boss Rob Page previews the visit of AFC Wimbledon.

“It’s  been a gruelling couple of weeks and the boys are looking forward to being back in front of our home fans on Saturday,” he said.

“Wimbledon haven’t had a great start but you can’t underestimate them. It’s early in the season and the league table won’t really start to take shape until 6, 7 or 8 games.

“It’s been a solid start for us, there have been some away performances that we can be proud of but we know there are aspects of the game we need to improve on.

“We are working hard on the training ground and one area we need to work on is our finishing.

“We need to be more clinical with our final pass and in front of goal.

“There will be goals in the team and we’ve shown that we can defend. As a unit we are quite solid but we need to improve with our goal scoring.

“We are creating chances and I’m sure the goals will come.”
