Cobblers boss Rob Page with a fitness update ahead of Saturday’s season opener against Fleetwood Town at Sixfields.

Sam Hoskins is available for selection at the weekend while both Brendan Moloney and Jack McCourt are expected to be back in the next two weeks.

“Sam trained on Thursday and he will be available,” confirmed Page.

“I thought Alfie Potter looked really bright when he came on against Eastleigh and he’s coming on well.

“We are still looking at another week for Brendan and maybe a couple of weeks for Jack. Raheem Hanley might be a bit longer.

“Pre-season has been a bit of a rollercoaster but
 Ultimately its’ all about building up the players fitness and getting the right amount of minutes into them.

“Training has been excellent this week and irrespective of results in pre-season Saturday is when it really starts.”
