COBBLERS BOSS WORKING HARD TO ADD TO THE SQUAD

16 August 2016

All the team news ahead of Oldham Athletic v Northampton Town

Ahead of Tuesday's trip to Oldham Athletic, Rob Page is still looking to boost his attacking options before the close of the transfer window in a couple of weeks.

“I’ve made it quite clear that I want another centre forward in the building,” he said.

“We are working extremely hard towards that but until then we go with what we’ve got.

“There are a few tired bodies from the weekend but we will do whatever we can to get them in the right frame of mind physically and mentally ready for another battle on Tuesday night.

“We are trying to arrange a game for the likes of Jak McCourt, Brendan Moloney and Raheem Hanley because it’s important that they get some minutes to boost their match fitness.

“If you’ve got consistency and you are getting positive results it’s a brave thing to change it. While the players have got momentum and while we are getting results then you don’t want to change things around for no reason.

“If we pick up a couple of knocks or fatigue comes in then of course we will look at it because there are 46 games in a season and it’s about all of those games, not just the first half dozen.”
