South stand re-branded as the Moulton College stand
Northampton Town are happy to announce a new three year partnership agreement with Moulton College.
The longest standing collaboration between Moulton and Northampton Town has been boosted by the agreement, set to start at the beginning of the 2016/17 season, bringing Club and College together for improved infrastructure and training facilities.
Part of the agreement will see the South stand at Sixfields re-branded as the Moulton College stand. Assistant Director of Student Services at Moulton, Andrew Bailey, who has worked closely with the club in developing the sponsorship of the Stand commented “This is an excellent opportunity for the College. Moulton is one of the county's hidden gems and has a lot to offer the community.”
Moulton College will continue to host all of the clubs teams from under 9s through to the first team squad for both girls and boys teams.
The Principal of the College, Stephen Davies and the Chairman of the football club, Kelvin Thomas have agreed to enter into an attractive partnership arrangement that offers both organisations the ability to further enhance the opportunities for both Moulton students and the clubs players.
Additional drainage will be installed into the sport pitches as well as an investment in the Colleges existing third generation artificial pitch. The 3G pitch was the first to be installed in the County and is now ready for a new playing surface to be installed.
Principal of Moulton College Stephen Davies said: ''Our new partnership with NTFC is great news for the College, the club and the local community. We are proud that the club has recognised that not only do we offer superb pitch facilities but also the highest quality sports therapy facilities within our dedicated Sports Therapy and Injury Rehabilitation centre.''
Chairman Kelvin Thomas added: ‘’We’re pleased to extend our excellent relationship with Moulton College and this partnership will benefit both of us greatly.
‘’Moulton is now our main training base and the facilities are fantastic so we’re proud to re-brand the South stand and include the college’s name on there.
‘’We look forward to continuing our partnership and hope that we can help each other progress further in the future.’’
