CHANGE IN LICENCE MEANS ALCOHOL CAN BE SERVED AT HALF TIME IN FANS VILLAGE AND ON WEST STAND CONCOURSE

17 August 2016

Fans Village open from 1pm

The Fans Village will be back for the AFC Wimbledon game on Saturday, with a significant change!

Northampton Town are very pleased to have secured a change to the alcohol licence at Sixfields, which will now allow alcohol to be served at half time both on the West Stand concourse and in the Fans Village behind the North Stand.

"This is another change to help improve the matchday experience for supporters," said Chairman Kelvin Thomas.

"I was very surprised to learn that this wasn't available to fans when we took over and following feedback that we listened to, we spoke to the Council and Centerplate and together have all worked to get the licence granted.

"We are constantly working to make more improvements to the matchday experience and we are in discussions about making further additions to the Fans Village and we hope to be in a position to make announcements in the coming weeks."

Starting with Saturday's visit from AFC Wimbledon, alcohol will now be available before the game and at half time on the West Stand concourse and in the Fans Village behind the North Stand.

The Village is located behind the North Stand, and can be accessed by entering the stadium through a turnstile and then walking behind the North Stand into the fenced area.

North Stand turnstiles and the West Stand turnstile in the north corner will open at 1pm for the village, with a valid match ticket required to enter both the stadium and the Fans Village.

After the game the bars will be closed, but Carr's Bar will be open for supporters to enjoy a drink.

A reminder that draught beer will be available on the West Stand Concourse on Saturday.
