Walking football event last Saturday
Northampton Town's Cobblers in the Community scheme, in partnership with the Northants FA, organised a Walking Football event last Saturday.Twenty players turned up on the day which was perfect for having a round robin tournament of five a side. After a warm up and some football skills the players were put in to four teams and played ten minute games against each other.
All the players enjoyed the session and those who took part for the first time where given information about walking football sessions that are already taking place around Northamptonshire.
Northampton Town's Cobblers in the Community scheme will be taking part in the Walking Football festival against other Football League teams with the winners competing in the National Walkign Football Finals.
