Kelvin Thomas ahead of Saturday's visit from Bristol Rovers

'Patience' is the key word for Kelvin Thomas ahead of this Saturday’s game against Bristol Rovers.

The Cobblers know that a win would secure League 1 status, but the game won't be approached any differently, according to the Chairman.

“We know it’s a massive game and it’s probably even more so because of the run Bristol Rovers are on but patience is the key,” he said.

“The atmosphere at times last weekend felt like there was maybe a bit of nervousness and uncertainty and I think we all kind of experienced that.

“There will be a big crowd on Saturday, Bristol will bring a lively following and I think for the players it will be a good one to step up and really put in the type of performance that they deserve.

“To see the ground full on Saturday would be wonderful, we have to be patient and we know it will come, it just feels like the line has been there for a long time and we want to try and get over it as soon as possible.”
