The Cobblers boss hoping to see Sixfields full for promotion clash with Bristol Rovers

Northampton Town manager Chris Wilder is looking forward to a special Sixfields atmosphere for Saturday’s game against Bristol Rovers.

A new ground record could be set if the attendance passes the 7,557 who watched as 2-2 draw with Manchester City in 1998.

“I’m sure this place will be rocking,” said Wilder.

“The form of Bristol Rovers is magnificent and we’ve picked up 20 points from our last 10 games which is promotion and title winning form.

“Both teams have still got a lot to play for and I’m sure they won’t come here and sit back.

“We’ve never changed our attitude and we’ve gone for games whether we are at home or away.

“It’s a really tough game and we really have to play well and hope it’s our day.”

There are still some tickets left for this game. Please call 01604 683777 or, if you were registered before this week you can buy online
