The Cobblers boss ahead of Northampton Town v Crawley Town

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder is looking forward to a special night at Sixfields as he previews the visit of Crawley Town on Tuesday.

“I think we are worthy Champions in a very competitive league,” he said.

“It’s been a big effort from everybody involved at the football club and it’s great to be recognised as a group in what we’ve achieved this year.

“To become Champions with four games left is something a bit special and the scenes after the game on Saturday will stay with us for a very long time.

“We’ve put a lot of hard work in and it’s been a special season.

“We’ve played some fantastic football along the way and I think we’ve shown class off the pitch as well.

“We have had some special nights down here and the players want to carry on and they want to win games of football.

“It’s important that we approach the game like we have done every game this season and it will be a good night if we produce the goods.”
