The Cobblers boss on AFC Wimbledon 1 Northampton Town 1

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder reflecting on Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw at AFC Wimbledon.

“It was a really tough game as it always is when you come here,” he said.

“We didn’t really get the ball down and play enough tonight and it wasn’t a flowing performance from us but we’ve managed to pick up a point.

“We dug in and defended when we had to, we could have lost the game but we could have won it as well.

“This is a tough division and I can’t see anybody running away with it.

“We’ve talked about the importance of building momentum and putting a run together.

“We’d like to be higher up the league but it is what it is and we move on to the next game and with the players we’ve got to come back I feel we are going to get stronger.”
