CHRIS WILDER - 'IT'S A TOUGH AWAY GAME BUT WE WANT TO TRY AND CATCH MORECAMBE'

The Cobblers boss ahead of Morecambe v Northampton Town

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder is under no illusions about the size of the task facing his team in Saturday’s trip to Morecambe.

“It was a good day for us last Saturday but we move on quickly,” he said.

“Morecambe have started the season on the front foot, they are above us in the league and from our point of view they are there to be caught.

“I think it will be an open game and it’s a game we can win but we know that first and foremost we need to make sure that our mentality is right when we get on the coach on Friday.

“These tough away games are the sort of games that you need to win if you want to do something in this league and I’d like us to put a long run together.

“It’s still early in the season, we still feel that we are three or four points light of where we want to be and it’s up to us now to claw that back.”
