Football League Youth Alliance action
Northampton Town’s under 18s continued their Football League Youth Alliance campaign on Saturday with a trip to Milton Keynes Dons.
The Cobblers were beaten 3-2, Joe Iaciofano and Robbie Parsons on target.
“It’s a disappointing defeat but there were some encouraging signs,” said under 18s coach Craig Hinton.
“We finished up with a very young side and despite the result there are some positives we can take from the performance.”
Next up Craig Hinton’s side take on Notts County at Sixfields on Tuesday in the first round of the FA Youth Cup, kick-off 7pm.
