JOHN-JOE O'TOOLE TAKEN OFF THE TRANSFER LIST

22 October 2015

Plus some team news ahead of Northampton Town v Stevenage

John-Joe O’Toole has been taken off the transfer list following his recent good performances.

“I’ve had a chat with John-Joe regarding his future,” confirmed boss Chris Wilder.

“It’s taken him a little while to get going and we will take a look at all aspects of why that is but his performances recently have been outstanding and in the manner of why we signed him.

“His standards have been high and he needs to keep that going.

“He’s been pivotal in this run we’re on, he’s been a stand out player for us and hopefully that can continue.

“We’re delighted with his performances, he’s been doing extra work and we’re delighted with his efforts."

Defender Ryan Cresswell (groin) is meanwhile a doubt for Saturday’s game against Stevenage.

“Ryan is struggling a little bit but I thought Zander was outstanding when he came on against Carlisle.

“As a defender it’s not always easy coming on as a substitute but he got up to the pace of the game straight away and if Ryan misses out then Zander will play.”
