JASON TAYLOR AVAILABLE AFTER SERVING FOUR MATCH BAN

6 October 2015

The team news ahead of Millwall v Northampton Town

Jason Taylor comes back into the Cobblers squad for Tuesday night’s trip to Millwall after completing a four-match ban while Ryan Clarke is set to replace Adam Smith in goal.

“It’s always a boost to get a player like Jason back into the squad,” said boss Chris Wilder.

“We have to pick the right side and we have to look at all the options but Ryan Clarke will come in.

“I believe we’ve got the two best goalkeepers in the division, Ryan has been outstanding in the games he’s played and he’s desperate to play.

“Alfie Potter is touch and go but we will see how he comes through training before making an assessment.

“We’d like to arrange a reserve game for Evan Horwood when we have a clear midweek.

“We’d like to keep Darnell Furlong and Shaun Brisley for longer, both of them have played a big part in our recent set of results and we are speaking to QPR and Peterborough about extending their loans.

“They are at different stages of their career but they both want to play, I’m sure they’ve enjoyed their time here so far and if we can extend it then we will do.”
