Cobblers boss Chris Wilder praised the character of his side as he reflected on Saturday’s 2-1 success against Stevenage, his side’s fourth win in five games.

“We had to dig one out today,” he said.

“We weren’t at our best in the first half but the players showed what they are about in the second half and this is a big three points for us.

“Sometimes through a season you have to find a way to win a game of football and we’ve done that today.

“You are not always going to be at your best and it’s how you react to that.

“We’ve got a good group who are fully behind each other and everybody played a part today.

“The supporters were tremendous yet again, we’ve got a spring in our step at the moment and we can be proud of our efforts but I still think there is more to come from us.”
