The Cobblers boss on Cambridge United v Northampton Town

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder is looking forward to a big away following for Saturday’s trip to Cambridge.

“The team, Alan and I are getting tremendous backing from the supporters and hopefully we will take a vociferous number on Saturday,” he said.

“We want to reward the supporters with positive front foot football, we are going out to win games and we will keep doing that.

“The next game is the most important and we need to keep the hammer down and work as hard, if not harder, to keep this run going.

“We are in good nick, players are in good form individually and we are playing well as a group.

“Confidence levels are good and I want the team to have that belief but first and foremost we have to outwork the opposition.

“We are a football club and that’s what it should all be about.

“The team is going well and I’m delighted and proud of the efforts of everybody.

“It is coming up to crunch time and I think we all need clarity.”
