The Cobblers boss on Northampton Town 3 Carlisle United 2

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder was delighted as he reflected on Tuesday night’s 'come from behind' 3-2 win against Carlisle United.

“It’s a great result against dangerous opposition,” he said.

“The first half was tight but I believe we took the game away from them with a really good second half performance.

“It was a big goal for us just before half-time and then the goal at the start of the second half really settled us down.

“I thought we defended really well in the second half, we looked comfortable and we played some decent stuff.

“We talked about the importance of not losing two games in a row and it was a great reaction from the players tonight.

“We want to kick on and go on another run and we need to keep the hammer down now on Saturday.”
