Cobblers boss Chris Wilder expressed his pride as he reflected on Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Newport.
“The supporters deserve a big mention yet again,” he said.
“We started off the game on the front foot and to get pegged back like we did was disappointing but in the end a draw was probably about fair.
“We switched off at a key moment and our game management was poor but I’m proud of my players and staff and I’m proud of the supporters after what’s happened this week.
“The group was fully committed and it’s a good result in very trying circumstances.
“The players are giving absolutely everything on the pitch and hopefully that can be matched by the people off the pitch to make sure that this club can survive and move forward.”
