Football League Youth Alliance action
Northampton Town’s youth team travelled to Southend on Saturday in the Football League Youth Alliance.
Despite second half goals from James Hammond and Callum Westwood, the Cobblers were beaten 4-2, after being 4-0 down at half-time.
“It was a really disappointing first half after a long journey,” said under 18s coach Craig Hinton.
“The second half was a lot better, we were a lot more positive and probably even deserved something from the game.”
