The Cobblers have fitness worries over Joel Byrom and Ryan Cresswell going into Saturday’s FA Cup first round tie at Coventry.

“Joel has had a tight hip and that’s why he came off on Saturday,” said assistant boss Alan Knill.

“It got gradually worse during the game and whether he will be fit for the weekend we’re not quite sure.

“We won't know until just before the game and the same really applies to Ryan Cresswell.

“Ryan is progressing well, he’s started doing some running again which is great but we will have to see how he comes through.

“Everybody else is okay and Ricky Holmes has done some work with the ball this week which is great news for everybody.”

Meanwhile Lawson D'Ath returns from suspension and is available for Saturday's game.
