Winger having groin operation
Northampton Town winger Ricky Holmes is undergoing surgery this week on a minor groin injury.
Holmes will go under the surgeon's knife but will make a full recovery well in time for the start of pre-season training on June 22nd.
"It is nothing major," said manager Chris Wilder.
"It is a minor procedure but it is something that affected Ricky in the last couple of weeks of the season.
"As soon as we knew that we weren't in the play offs we got Ricky booked in this week so it can be sorted as quickly as possible.
"Getting it done now means he will be fully recovered well in time to start pre-season training on June 22nd with the rest of the squad."
