Cobblers bring in winger Potter as first signing of the summer

Northampton Town have signed winger Alfie Potter on a two year contract.

26 year old Potter made his Football League debut with Peterborough United, before a number of loan spells in non league football. In 2008, he picked up an FA Cup player of the round award after he starred for Havant & Waterlooville in their memorable defeat at Liverpool.

Alfie left Peterborough to join Oxford United after helping the U’s to promotion into the Football League while on loan. Alfie made almost 200 appearances for Oxford United, scoring 28 goals in total. He moved to AFC Wimbledon in January 2015, scoring once in fifteen appearances.
