Northampton Town disability football have weekend away

The club's Football in the Community officer Russell Lewis and members of the Northampton Town Multi Disabled squad spent last weekend on a camping trip to Heacham, which is a small village near Kings Lynn where the locals have taken the disability players to their hearts.

The trip was coordinated between Russell and Les Dedman, disability officer of Bedfordshire and resident of Heacham. The mini bus left Sixfields on Friday afternoon and arrived in Heacham that evening. On the Saturday morning the Cobblers played the Kings Lynn Disability Football Club, then back for some free time to have a walk on the beach. Saturday was another early night before the squad were up early to have a sports morning with the residents of Heacham on the Sunday.

A great time was had by all and we are looking forward to the next trip.
