COBBLERS BOSS SAYS BEN TOZER WILL BENEFIT FROM MOVE

The Cobblers boss on Ben Tozer

Chris Wilder says that Ben Tozer is another player who will benefit from moving clubs to play regular first team football.

“Ben was on an excellent contract and he deserved that under the previous manager," he said.

“He hasn’t been able to get into the team because of the form of Brendon Moloney and I can’t afford to carry two right-backs on the wages that they are on.

“Ben’s attitude has been outstanding and I could have possibly offered him something to keep him as a utility player but I don’t see him being a regular.

“It was another tough decision but I’m sure Ben will want to go somewhere where he can play regular football. He’s done well for us and he moves on with our best wishes."
