The Cobblers boss on releasing Darren Carter
Chris Wilder says released midfielder Darren Carter will benefit from the opportunity go go elsewhere and play regular first team football.
“Darren hasn’t really played any football all season and he wants to play," said the Cobblers boss.
“He was excellent for us in the second half of last season but he had an injury at the start of this season and he’s not really been able to recapture his form from last year.
“He has knocked on my door wanting to play but because of the form of Jason Taylor and Joel Byrom I’ve not been able to get him in the team.
“At his age he wants to play and I can understand that."
